In-line milk monitoring during milking. BioSense is being developed to take a small sample while the cow is milked and give early signals for herd health decisions. Signals under evaluation include breeding, udder health, antibiotic residue, and selected pathogen signs including influenza A / H5N1. The sample does not go back into the tank.
In development. Patent pending. Not a cleared diagnostic. Not for sale. Photographs are design studies.
Why this exists
Breeding, udder health, residue, and selected pathogen signs including influenza A / H5N1 are still mostly lab or cow-side jobs. BioSense is being built as a sensor module on the milking line so those questions can be asked in the same milking. Sample milk is discarded. It does not return to the bulk tank. The work is in development at SanusBio Research LLC. It is not for sale and it is not a cleared diagnostic.
Designed to support antibiotic stewardship, giving farms information at each milking so they can use antibiotics only when and where they’re needed.
Letters of support
A grant letter is written for a named proposal, not generated by this page. Use the sentences below. Do not add detection limits, named OEM adoption, or a product approval. USDA 67-R-0007 is SanusBio Research LLC’s research-facility registration, not a device approval.
The parlor job does not become a bench test. Routine service is through a door, like changing a filter. Confirm treatment, shipment, or public-health actions the way you already confirm them.
SanusBio supplies the sensor. You keep the milker, the parlor software, and the farm relationship. Smaller dairies and a milk line that is not your brand are an interface conversation after an agreement — not a claim on another manufacturer’s installed base.
The work is in-line monitoring of raw milk during milking, for herd health decisions. Technical methods and unpublished performance move under a confidentiality agreement, not on this page.
A supplier letter states that you can furnish a part or a material under your own commercial terms, and that you are willing to say so for a named proposal. This page does not list vendors and does not claim a signed supply agreement. Do not put unpublished specifications in the letter.

SanusBio Research LLC builds the sensor. Milker manufacturers are the intended path onto the farm.
Farms
The parlor job does not become a bench test. Confirm treatment, shipment, or public-health actions the way you already confirm them.
OEMs
SanusBio supplies the sensor. You may use SanusBio’s housing or put the same sensor in your enclosure. Drawings move after an agreement.
The intended path is also smaller and mid-size dairies your dealers already reach, and a milk line that is not your brand — after an interface agreement. That is more places your channel already stands, not a second milker to invent. No public adoption by a named brand is claimed here.
Reviewers
BioSense is under development as a milk monitor on the milking line. No product clearance is completed. USDA Certificate 67-R-0007 is SanusBio Research LLC’s research-facility registration. It is not a device approval.
No 510(k), no finished 3-A or PMO listing, no published detection limit. If you are a reviewer, write [email protected] and say which office you represent.

Answers are fixed, pre-written sentences from this site. No AI model runs on this page, and it does not use your microphone. The chairs change which questions we suggest. The contact form below is how we write you back.

Talk with SanusBio
This form is how we know who to answer — not the same as the Ask chairs above. A letter of support, a supplier letter, a host site, a protocol review, and an OEM interface talk are different replies. Name the program and the due date if you have them.
